Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Guitar Mentor app and this website. By downloading or using Guitar Mentor, you agree to them.

Your account

You can use Guitar Mentor as a guest, or sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and password. Schools and academies sign in through the same options using the address their institution invited. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device secure.

Subscriptions & billing

• Guitar Mentor offers a free tier and a single Pro subscription, billed monthly or yearly. On iOS it is billed through your Apple App Store account; on Android it is billed through your Google Play account. One Pro subscription unlocks every Pro feature — we do not sell separate tiers per instrument.
• Current pricing is $3.99/month or $35.99/year. Prices are shown in your local currency by the store at the moment of purchase, and that store-shown price is the price you pay. We may change prices for new subscribers; existing subscribers are notified by the store before any change takes effect.
• Pro plans include a 3-day free trial, offered once per account. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, depending on where you bought. Deleting your Guitar Mentor account does not cancel your subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies — we cannot issue a store refund on your behalf.
• Purchases made on one store do not transfer to the other. A subscription bought on iOS is managed by Apple, and one bought on Android is managed by Google.

Acceptable use

Use Guitar Mentor for your own learning and performance. Don't misuse PlugAI, attempt to reverse-engineer the service, resell access, or upload content you don't have the rights to analyse.

Content & intellectual property

The app, PlugAI, our branding and original content are owned by us. Songs you import and the analyses derived from them remain associated with your account for your personal use; you're responsible for having the rights to any audio you process.

Third-party and YouTube content

Guitar Mentor can analyse a YouTube link you provide so you can practise along with it. When you do:

• You confirm you have the right to use that material for your own private study, and you agree to abide by YouTube's Terms of Service. Guitar Mentor is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
• Analyses are generated for your personal, non-commercial practice. Redistributing them, or the underlying recording, is not permitted.
• We do not host a catalogue of other people's recordings. Imports are initiated by you, tied to your account, and deleted when you delete the song or your account.

Copyright complaints

If you own rights in material you believe has been used improperly through Guitar Mentor, email admin@plugai.in with the subject "Copyright Complaint". Include the work concerned, where it appears, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We review every complaint, remove or disable access to material where the complaint is substantiated, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

PlugAI outputs

PlugAI generates chord charts, suggestions and explanations to assist your practice. They can contain mistakes — always use your own judgement, especially when performing.

Availability

We work hard to keep Guitar Mentor running, but provide it "as is" without warranties, and may update, change or discontinue features over time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes & governing law

We may update these terms as the app evolves; material changes will be posted here with a new date. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
